About

Built for people who write by ear.

DictationFlow reads your text aloud, word by word, at a precise speed you control. The idea is simple: you listen and write simultaneously, training your hands to keep pace with speech.

This mirrors how professional stenographers, court reporters, and competitive typists train. Instead of copy-typing paragraphs at your own pace (which lets you self-correct before your brain processes the sentence), dictation forces you to transcribe in real time, building true muscle memory and reducing hesitation.

Real-time dictation is one of the few training methods where you cannot cheat. You either keep up with the voice, or you fall behind. That pressure is exactly what builds speed.

It works equally well for handwriting practice. Set a comfortable WPM, paste a passage from a textbook or speech, and write every word as it is spoken. Over weeks, your hand naturally catches up to the pace you train at.

For handwriting, start at 15 WPM. For typing, start at 30-40 WPM. As you get comfortable at a speed, gradually increase the WPM with practice. Most people plateau around 20-30 WPM for handwriting and 60+ WPM for typing.
