Accuracy comparison has limits
Automated text comparison cannot judge meaning or professional transcription conventions. Review the actual differences. If punctuation is ignored, that does not make punctuation unimportant in formal work.
A simple progression
Change one practice variable at a time.
- Complete a short familiar passage at a comfortable target pace.
- Correct the transcription and note recurring error types.
- Repeat the same text and pace without editing during the take.
- Increase the WPM slightly, or introduce harder vocabulary, not both at once.
The target cadence is generated through your browser’s speech system. It may not match an externally timed recording exactly, so use the same device and voice when comparing sessions.
